Researchers looked at thousands of women, and found the benefits of walking began at about 4 400 steps daily. The benefits then leveled off at 7 500. Obviously getting to 10 000 steps is great, but if you’re someone who lives a relatively sedentary lifestyle, even a modest increase in steps can bring you significant health benefits.
